Frederico Ramires
Frederico was born in Lisbon Portugal, 1987.
His work as an artist is the result of a pictorial questioning that is strongly influenced by a variety of currents, from classicism to modernism.
Even though he started as a painter, Fred gradually drifted off to drawing. Initially he was mainly focused on a serial drawing process that was highly limited to the paper support plane. But this structured exercise, naturally started to become less and less formal and crystallised, and eventually, a new outlook took it’s place. An outlook where drawing started to feel more like writing a poem. This detachment from formality made his work move away from traditional and classical painting, and towards something more childlike and cartoonish, referencing distinct graphic universes, cartoons and comics.

The Twist High, with its classic and timeless silhouette, was the preferred style. Firstly because it has a bigger area to play around in, but mostly because of its main material. The canvas of the sneaker mimics paint canvas which made the creation process feel more natural.

The animation of the hand drawn artworks was a first time experience but it just made sense to highlight the fun side of the drawing process.
Many of the NFT’s produced sounds are Frederico's own voice recordings.
