My name is Elias, I am 19 and I have a lot of dreams to live for. I was born and raised in a neighbourhood close to Lisbon - it was here I took my first steps and it was here that I learned to dream. My family is very important to me and I want to see them happy. They taught me to always respect others and to always be humble. I have big ambitions for my future and I have long ago decided I want to become someone great. No one said that achieving my dreams would be easy but I am still standing and one day I will get there.
My sneakers might seem simple to most people but, for me they carry great meaning. As I grew up, I did not have access to the things other kids had and that was the reality I had to get used to. But I was always happy with what I had, kept a smile in my face and never stopped dreaming of better days where I could fulfil my potential. I only chose two colours: white simbolizes the purity and hope that people need to keep fighting to keep even in difficulties and the black simbolizes the loss, loneliness and feat most of us carry inside. Always remember: move forward, look upwards. You conquer what you fight for.
