The challenges the world is currently facing have accentuated one of the most critical problems we have as a society: young people today have fewer prospects than the previous generation, which means the most important social contract we have - hope for a younger generation - has been broken.
This problem is not one exclusive to impoverished countries either: for example, according to Eurostat, more than 1 in 4 young man or woman aged 16-24 in the European Union is at risk of social exclusion and poverty (27,7%).
While there are many causes to address, it is clear that part of the solution lies in creating initiatives that promote inclusion and improve the skill set of this generation.
We created IMAGINE, a social impact program for young men and women that aims to improve their employability skills and promote social inclusion.
IMAGINE starts by introducing them to several disciplines related to entrepreneurship and communication in order to develop soft skills and increase self awareness.
This is the beginning of a long term partnership, as each participant then has the opportunity to tell their story to the world by creating their own sneakers and launch a micro-business with DiVERGE to practice the new earned skills, getting all the proceeds that result from the sales.
Throughout the program, ongoing mentorship is provided to enable that each young man and woman can strive for a more meaningful future.
We invite you to check their unique stories and buy their creations.
They deserve it.
